La Bergerie des Remparts, in Provence
Village scene

La Bergerie des Remparts, a vacation rental home in the heart of Provence, is a perfect location to discover the traditional provencal way of life. The fortified village of Cornillon-Confoux, perched over vineyards and fields, was first settled in the 5th century B.C. That site is now a typical small provencal village that remains very French; it is calm, even at the height of tourist season. Cornillon is very well placed to explore Provence, from the beaches of the Mediterranean to the small villages of the Vaucluse.

The house, built centuries ago to protect a shepherd and his sheep, is situated on the medieval ramparts with a magnificent panaromic view, extending to the Mediterranean coast. Owned and loved for 30 years, this maison-de-village has been recently completely renovated and decorated with a mix of comfortable furniture, antiques, and modern conveniences. It is a vacation home that has maintained the style and spirit of Provence.
